Following close on the heels of the successful Art Fair in May, it was encouraging to see so many visitors to the October Exhibition.

The Friday Preview got the Autumn Exhibition off to a great start with strong attendance by both Friends and Artists. Yet again, Mary Weir’s quiz proved to be a huge challenge and was thoroughly enjoyed by many of those attending.

Exhibiting artist, Sarah Hill gave an absorbing and very personal talk about the value of Art across all aspects of the school curriculum and its further relevance in all walks of life, indeed both within the scientific world and the creative arts. She admired the wonderful quality of work entered by the sixth form students into the School’s Exhibition and explained how difficult it had been to give individual awards having encountered such a thoroughly high standard of work throughout.
