Easingwold & District Art Society pulled out all the stops to stage their 17th exhibition at the Galtres Centre this October. Despite an absence of two years, visitors again supported the event creating a real buzz.

Firm favorites and new artists, some exhibiting for the first time created a varied and exciting mix of work with record sales achieved. The high standard was inspiring and the popular cards depicting original works as popular as ever.

Voting for your favorite painting has become a tradition, this year 'Italian Floods' by Alan Blackburn was voted best in show, with last year's winner Pam Chilton's 'Amaris' runner up and Rhona Rowley's 'Summer' in third place.

This has once again been a successful exhibition and EDAS would like to thank the volunteers who work tirelessly in the background, the artists who choose to share their work and of course the visitors. With time to reflect on its success its hoped that further stimulating events will follow in the future.
